Retirement Villages

In Australia over the past few years one of the major growth areas in Real Estate has been the Retirement Village Industry. With the ageing of the Community this is expected to not only continue but accelerate.

We at Schulz Hobbs have had a Retirement Village team for several years. The key value adds by Schulz Hobbs are independence and expertise. This removes the headaches for the owners of our Retirement Village clients by retaining positive relationships with residents

Our work has included:

  • Retirement Village Administrator of a Village is situated near Bundaberg in Queensland with 285 Independent Living Units. This was handled from Adelaide with a manager on site. As well as electronic communication we visited the Village three times each year and chaired the budget meeting and the annual meeting where the audited financial accounts were presented and attended some Residents’ Committee meetings.
  • Financial accounting and Taxation for a group of seven Retirement Villages with two in Queensland and five in New South Wales.
  • Consulting and Administration of a further three Retirement Villages (one regional) and an Aged Care Hostel in South Australia.
